from around the world and make new friends. You share your learning experience
with many others and learn from their experience. There are lots of fun
activities guided by our Chinese instructors.......a real place to learn and
practice Chinese. It's a place where you go wild, forget your shyness and come
out of your shell........ a real party place.

Asia and Australasia
Asia and Australasia covers the range of timezones from GMT+0630
to GMT+1200. Most countries are in a single timezone, the notable exceptions
being Indonesia and Australia.
Pacific Ocean
Because the International Date Line runs through the Pacific
Ocean, some Pacific countries are ahead of GMT, while others are behind. The
spread of timezones is GMT+1000 to GMT+1245 and GMT-0600 to GMT-1100.
Kiribati: (Kiribati has two main island groups, one on each side of
the International Date Line. Hence, the local time difference between the
two groups is 23 hours.) GMT+1200/GMT-1100
Africa
Africa covers the timezones GMT+0000 to GMT+0300. Daylight
Savings Time is observed during summer (March - October) in Egypt, Tunisia and
Libya. Zaire is the only country split into two time zones.
The standard timezones are Eastern European - GMT+0200/0300, Middle European
- GMT+0100/0200, Eastern African - GMT+0300, Central African - GMT-0200, Western
African - GMT+0000 and Southern African - GMT+0200.
Canada
Canada covers the timezones GMT-0330 to GMT-0800. Daylight
Savings Time is observed during summer (March - October). The standard timezones
are Newfoundland - GMT-0330, Atlantic - GMT-0400, Eastern - GMT-0500, Central -
GMT-0600, Mountain - GMT-0700 and Pacific - GMT-0800.
USA
Mainland United States of America covers the timezones GMT-0500
to GMT-0800. Daylight Savings Time is observed during summer (March - October).
The standard timezones are Eastern - GMT-0500, Central - GMT-0600, Mountain -
GMT-0700 and Pacific - GMT-0800. Alaska is in time zone GMT-0900, and Hawaii and
the Aleutian Islands are in GMT-1000.
Texas is split into Mountain and Central zones, in line with the New Mexico
border (103 degrees west of Greenwich), while Tennessee is split into Eastern
and Central times.
Caribbean Islands
The Caribbean Islands covers the timezones GMT-0400 to GMT-0500.
Central America
Central America covers the timezones GMT-0500 to GMT-0800.
Daylight Savings Time is observed during summer (March - October). The standard
timezones are Newfoundland - GMT-0330, Atlantic - GMT-0400, Eastern - GMT-0500,
Central - GMT-0600, Mountain - GMT-0700 and Pacific - GMT-0800.
South America
South America covers the timezones GMT-0300 to GMT-0500.
Daylight Savings Time is observed by Brazil and Chile during summer (October -
March).
Brazil is split into three time zones, Andes UTC-0500/-0400, Western
UTC-0400/-0300 and Eastern UTC-0300/-0200. Brazilian Andes Time is not the same
as Bolivian Andes Time (UTC-0400) except during the Summer months, when Brazil
uses ADT and Bolivia uses AST.
